Update: I am unsure of the steel in the Bushcrafter...apparently they were made from some surplus blanks and the steel is unknown...

Just to help out, yes, the steel on the Ultralight Bushcrafter is stainless. Mike calls it 'Hobsons Choice' I just got one of these in the mail and I love it! A very handy, VERY sharp and maneuverable knife.
