This is my first attempt at a seax. I did most of the work last fall, but just put the finishing touches on today.

Steel: 1084 and 15n20 The blade is made up of four bars. The two nearest the spine are opposing twist, the one in the middle is serpent, and the edge bar is random.

Hardness: probably around 58

Blade length: 16-3/4"

Total length: 23-3/4"

Blade thickness: about 5/16" at the ricasso

Handle material: cocobolo

Fittings: copper. My mark is on the end of the pommel.

In the spirit of the originals, fit and finish is a little rougher than my normal standards, so I'm only asking $750 + $25 shipping.

I'm really not a scabbard maker, so there is none, but for an extra $50, I could be persuaded to whip up something simple in leather.

I can take paypal, check, or MO. Please send paypal to phillip at pattonblades dot com
If using a check, allow 10 business days for it to clear before shipment. Please make sure blade is still available before sending payment. :-)

Note: this is a weapon, not a chopping tool. Because of the geometry of these, the tip is quite thin and I would not put much strain to it.
