Hey everyone, been following the board for a while, first post though. I broke the entire tip off a new bk9 a couple of months ago while splitting up some kindling. I noticed that maybe half an inch of the tip was very slightly bent to one side which surprised me since I have a kabar kukri machete that I have beaten on continuously without a problem. I didn't use the knife for a few weeks, but the next time I did I stabbed it into a stump and snap. Keep in mind the initial bend was barely noticeable. I contacted kabar about a replacement but was told if have to pay the $30 or $40 to send it back from where I live in Australia, just wasn't worth it to me. I filed a new tip onto it, but now rarely use it. I do however have other beckers that have held up perfectly
