Broken leek tip?

My Wife's leek took a ride in the washer & dryer a while back, it popped open and got pretty banged up. I just got around to re-shaping the tip into something somewhat pointy again.

I wanted to go with Korben, but my wife liked Corbin better. He's already a lot of fun, and I can't wait to get him interested in my many hobbies (tarantulas, hiking, working out, knives, music...). Life gets more interesting by the day lol. Groove, how are you liking the finish? I am curious as to how well it will hold up.

I've only been carrying this for two days, it sat in my Wife's purse for months. The one day she decides to use it she forgets it's in her pocket and it went through the wash. It still works great, but the edge and tip was pretty banged up. I'm really enjoying it so far.

I am loving mine too! I might polishing the washers a bit and lube it with synthetic motor oil or gun oil to make it faster... Anyone selling a lowrider clip for the leek?

Well kershaw wrote me back and said I can send it in, but I told them I will wait until it's dull so I don't waste the shipping. Asm, are you sending it in to be fixed?

nope in my experience all kershaw does is exactly what i have done and thats regrind the blade to bring a tip back to me its not worth shipping when it was easy enough for me to fix at home with my sharpener. and the tip on it now that i have fixed broken/bent tips a few times is alot sharper than a factory edge leek but i think that is because it is now thinner.

Not a bad idea! I got my shallot today and it is awesome! I am worried about the tungsten dlc rubbing off though.

That bottom leek I posted pic of was my carry knife for 3 years and the dlc is not rubbed off just lighter and semi polished. The dlc is super awesome stuff

Thank god. I thought he meant, he named the kid Boron.

Hahaha! I laughed my butt off at that! I gotta say, I really like the shallot, but it's so heavy compared to the leek! I think I am going to order my orange skyline today.

^As my friend and colleague Justin just said, the CF Blur has CF inserts, and the whole knife is quite smooth. I love it, because it makes for very easy removal from the pocket and ease putting it back. It doesn't damage material, and the shape of the handle just melts into my hand. The standard and S30V blurs have the rubberized Trac-Tec inserts, they've long since done away with the skateboard grip tape like material. Where'd you last see a Blur? I'm curious, as it's been some number of years since the old grips were made.

To conclude, the CF154 Blur is perfect, like LeeLoo Dallas (multipass). It's my fifth element.

That's too funny! Glad to see that my wife and I aren't the only Fifth Element junkies out there, Stick!
