Broken RTAKII?

Just wanted to let everyone know that I called Ontario and spoke to them about what happened and they ask that I send it back with a brief note. Well I after about a month, I was going to call and then today I drove up to work and at the same time so did FedX with a nice big knife shaped package. I had no idea until I looked at the label and then smiled, my new RTAKII! So there it is, they replaced it without a hitch. Now after some thinking and study, I decided that this was probably not the knives fault as the log I was splitting was way twisted and was not going to be cleaved, so I am sure most knives would have failed at this duty, but I did not check the stock closely as it was night and I had a whiskey and just wanted to chop some wood. So I have the upmost trust in this knife. Just wanted to let you all know. Thanks for all your help.

Glad to hear things ended on the upnote.

Thanks for letting us know, alot of times we get the bad part but never hear about the good.

Yeah, you'll have to see Ontario about that.

Although you might as well also join the pile-on of whiners (like me) pleading for a RAT RTAK.

:D

I am recruiting followers! ;)

Got room for one more on this bandwagon? a RC chopper, I'm in all the way fellas...

I have the RTAKII and Rat 7. I also have the RC-4 and several IZULAs (love those little things). I see quite a bit of quality difference when I compare the Rat Cutlery stuff to the Ontario stuff (we all know who wins). The RTAKII is an awsome knife - never let me down no matter how hard I abuse it. But, if Rat Cutlery came out with a version of their own, I would snatch it up in a heartbeat.

I am very, VERY, happy to hear that one is in the works!

Can't wait.

Can we see some proto-type pics soon? Please???

I will go along with Derricks statement, and add:

If you have any warranty issues (if your our customers or not) contact me and I will get you through to the correct people at Ontario. I will not sell a product that I don't believe in. Ontario has always taken care of our warranty issues.
