broken switchplier

I had a SOG Switchplier, and I let someone use it to bend coat hangers, and now the Switchplier is broken. What happens is that the plier head still opens when the button is pressed, but the stainless steel lever does not swing open, rendering the pliers basically useless. Is this covered by the warranty, and if it is, will it be repaired or replaced?
Thank you.

Hi Bcc,

Sorry to hear about the problem you are experiencing with your SwitchPlier. SOG does maintain a liberal lifetime warranty policy and your tool will be either repaired or replaced.

Use these return instructions to ship your tool back to us.

We'll take great care of you!

That's how long it took the person originating this post to get a response from Ron@SOG. Unbelievable! Ron, I am routinely surprised & impressed at the level of service you (& SOG) provide. Bravo.

I asked a question about the Limited Edition Government that was on E-Bay, and you answered within hours. As far as stupid questions go, I tend to ask those during regular business hours...
