no one has even asked the most important question...... 'how did you plate micarta....... ???????????

and dont ask....cause its a huge secret

unique is a good code word for 'why would you do that?',,,lol
NOT AT ALL!!! Not what I meant!  :D

I dig the unique. My Mt. Bike, Road Bike and Jeep are all "unique" and one of a kind, and I wouldn't give them up for anything... Well... Maybe for all of Jaxx's INFI! :p ;)

I really like the look! Let us know how it holds up to use.

vtw, you may be the first to ever COAT a busse.

everyone strips them. so last week. :)

now, to coat one? truly daring!!! i like it a lot!!

I guess my question would be "how does the bronze react given that its base adhesive surface is a powder coat?" - unless its adhered to the metal itself...

does it tend to dent with high malleability (which I would think is inherent in bronze), does it dent "too much", quickly giving way to the darker powder coat leaving an easily scratched area...

cause if bronze can be applied to a blade at less then 900 degree's (or below 350 degree's for the micarta (or quickly enough in its cooling process that it doesn't effect the micarta regardless of starting temperature)) so that it doesn't damage the overall blade - theoretically you would have a very impressive coating as long as its general malleability and adhesion was strong enough to resist damage.

dan kosters "copper top" black powder coat that he worked out with a local powder coat guy is another curious "if its real copper (and I think it is), does it add noticable durability to the powder coat?"

also, does it tend to adhere/penetrate into pores and scratches in the blades surface?

very interesting....

good questions.... i deveoped this product.... its real bronze, also doing it in pewter brass and copper...... no heat involved...... and aheres to just about anything..... including plastics...... also has increased flexibility.....

over all i am very happy with this product and will take it to market next year..... been waiting for a week to post this pic as i hadnt gotten all my patents back..... did about six hours ago
