• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Bronze Star vs. Bronze Star with V

Who was the fake SEAL. If he listed a bunch of awards he didn’t earn he can be prosecuted under the Stolen Valor act.

Another thing to remember is that when Desert Storm was over they gave these things out like candy. Units were mandated to give 15% of their troops Silver Stars and 30% Bronze Stars. That really cheapened the sacrifice of those who actually earned these awards previously.

Well I don't know about that, I do know that in our Battalion only 3 were awarded.

I think there has been a trend in recent years to award E6's and above bronze stars after combat tours while giving everyone else ARCOM's. At least with the Army anyway. That's not a steadfast rule, but it's much more difficult now to get a bronze star as lower enlisted. That having been said, your "Navy SEAL" sounds like a pretty big scumbag. What's shown on his 214 is a bronze star device, and really doesn't mean what he's claiming.
