Morning, Fellas

I was wondering where you get your bronze, and what type of bronze should I look for, for guards, etc. Thanks

I've bought from a few different sources, my last order was through Amazon. I prefer phosphorus bronze, simply because it is closest chemically to the old bronze.

James Rodebaugh directed me toward Atlas Metals for silicon bronze. If Alpha doesn't have the thicknesses you're looking for, I think they're the place to go to. Jim is well known for his use of bronze, and nothing quite has that color of silicon bronze IMHO.

Just checked Online Metals, they have a great selection.
I get bronze round bar 1" from them and forge it to thickness for bolsters- that way I can get the just under 3/8" thickness I like for bolsters on larger cooking knives.
