Well, it should probably never have been sold. That knife means something very special to someone.

Agreed! If you get a knife in the military (especially as part of a special deal) you should keep it.

I'm not trying to be too judgmental, everyone has their reasons for doing things, but it just doesn't sit right with me to sell something like that.
 
That is a very interesting NO. I've never seen a reversed logo.
I just realized that the sheath is a left handed sheath, so not sure if the logo is on that side because the owner was left handed, or if the whole order was made this way.
