Neither DC ones are here yet. But all in good time. :thumbup:

Which one I like better will probably be determined once I start using them this Spring. I have a feeling that the ASH is gonna come out on top though...

When I go camping/hiking it'll be tough to pic which one will be joining me! My son will get to pick one for himself some day. At 4 1/2, not letting him near them! Everything is a light saber or gun to him right now. :eek:

Not dyed at all. Not sure why they are so much darker. Could they be Paper Micarta? Was that offered on the Hell Razor's?
 
Absolutely sweet! :thumbup: I loves them Hell Razors, I surely do! My own is OD/Black and can do almost anything!!:D
 
According to the HR spec page, it was offered in the following handles:

Standard:
Black Canvas Micarta
Tan Canvas Micarta
Black Paper Micarta

Optional:
Magnum Black Canvas Micarta + $35
Magnum Tan Canvas Micarta + $35
Black G10 + $25
Snakeskin (standard width) + $45

What you have are clearly Magnum, so they must be especially dark Black Canvas Micarta, unless the "Black G10" above implicitly means Magnum.
 
Pretty sure it's not G-10. So probably a darker mix of Black Canvas then...
 
The spine shot makes me think its Micarta Mags...
Just looks that way to me.

Whatever they are... I like the deep black look to them! :thumbup:
 
Certainly look like Canvas Micarta Mags to me on the HR. I've never seen them so dark. Very nice though. I don't even know if oil would get them that dark. Anyone ever try to oil theirs and get them this black?
 
Is the HR at the top of this post OD? Looks more like a dark gray to me. Now I'm :confused:

Oh I see that it was said that it is OD. Still looks weird to me. Although I have had a few different Busses in OD that had extreme variation in the tone of the green. So, is this Westllen's HR or not?
