Trying to decide which of the 2 to buy. Looking for feedback and recommendations. Thanks in advance.

I have the original Bionic and had an 0801, two very different knives. The 0801 is a better value though, and more fun to play with IMO.

I have handled the Bionic and own a 0801. I liked the 0801 better, and a lot of sites have it for $139 right now which is an amazing price. Almost tempted to buy another actually.

I have a Bionic 2.0.........I'd compare it to the ZT 450, I have one and no 801, give me the 450 any day.

I have had both knives, but the 801 is the better knife (to me). Better steel, better action, better construction. The Bionic is in a different genre, it is a slim, small, light folder, blade around 3" and not too far off from half the weight of the 801. Two far more comparable folders would be the ZT 450 for size and weight, and the 808 for size and blade shape (but heavier). In terms of folders I have seen between $100 and $200, the Bionic is pretty much in a category of its own. Very few light liner lock flippers with good blade steels, most have 2 of those.

I am interested in Brous blades but I don't have one yet... however the 0801 is my favorite ZT and even EDC.

I like it mainly becaue of it quality and no-nonsense design.

If you go with th 0801 you will go with a good knife, and even if after a while you take the Brous blades, you will not have wasted your money ;)

To compare with the same relative size as the Zero Tolerance 0801 you have to go with Brous Bionic XL so that both have a 3.5" blade length.

No comparison because you get superior steel (S35VN), titanium and better flipper action with ZT 0801 vs. Bionic XL with D2 and aluminum.

Additionally, when comparing prices the difference is loud and clear. ZT 0801 with stonewashed blade can be had for under $150 now whereas the Bionix XL with stonewashed blade is $219!

The only advantage that Bionic XL has over ZT 0801 is weight: 3.9 oz. vs. 5.85 oz.
