Okay guys, this is my first thread ever, so give me some slack (and constructive tips) on how I can improve...
This is only my second ever mid tech, and boy am I impressed... This knife (as I'm sure you've already heard) is the smoothest opening knife I've ever opened. Gives me a giant, shit eating grin every time! :) Lockup is solid and at about 20-30%, but if you don't deploy with the flipper (open it slowly with the hole or two handed) it has a tendency to lockup even earlier, at about 10%, which is a little unsafe for any hard work in my opinion, so make sure you give it a good flick!

Fit and finish is excellent, no hard edges, everything smooth, soft, flowing, and very ergonomic. The carbon fiver is just beautiful, and even though it is smooth, the knife still locks into your hand very well due to the handle shape and the flipper acting as a choil. Deep carry pocket clip gives good retention, especially with the smooth CF scales... Titanium liners, heavily milled on the non locking side provide excellent strength but keep the weight lean, especially for such a monster of a knife...

One flaw... Blade centering is slightly off to the left, but not off enough to bother me...

All in all a very solid knife after the first week of use.. and did I mention FUN? Will hopefully give follow up reviews in the coming weeks and or months as I put more mileage on it!
Thanks for the support fellas!

I have this in the Acid Stonewash (which looks outstanding) and love it, as you said its incredibly smooth and this thing is a great slicer. I sliced up several double walled cardboard boxes with this yesterday and had to grin seeing how the blade went through them like they were warm butter. This is a big knife but feels great in hand and gives a lot of blade to work with...now one of the favorite knives.

Would you mind posting some pics of it? I'd love to see it in acid stonewash.... I bet it looks pretty mean.

Wow... looks great bud! I've been thinking that in black, it looks like it should be Batman's tactical folder :)

Has he polished the contact area of the ball bearings on the acid stonewash version? If not, I wonder how much the finish affects the smoothness of action?

I didn't ask and I wondered when I placed the order if the acid stonewash would flip as smooth as the satin finish and after using it I certainly have zero to complain about...this thing is slick. The blade feels very, very smooth to the touch but looks like it was forged from a several century old bar of steel.

Very cool! Have either of you taken yours down yet? I'd be interested to hear if he actually does polish it. Either way... the smoothness on this knife just begs you to play with it all day long ;)

I took mine apart a few times, I wasn't really looking for it but I did not notice any polishing :)

Good review. Thanks for the comparison pics.I didn't know it was that large.

Brous's latest knives are getting great reviews everywhere.
I hope he makes a "normal" (~3.5" blade) folder eventually.

Do you own one murky?
Got one coming in the mail, due Monday. I originally wanted the satin blade, but that was unavailable, so I sprung for the acid stonewash as a plan B. However, based on the pics KLJTech posted, it looks like the acid stonewash could be just as desirable as the satin, if not more since it's a little something different from the norm. It doesn't seem like the typical acid stonewash jobs I've seen, it's looks more like an aged patina type of pewter. Gorgeous, can't wait to see what it looks like in the flesh.

The Acid Stonewash does indeed look like its aged...I don't have any other acid washed knives to compare it to but to me it looks much better than I had even expected. I too wanted the satin but now I wouldn't trade even for one since this one looks great and doesn't show wear.

I hope that you like it and please post some pics once it arrives.

I was definitely torn between the acid wash and the black cerakote.... Decided finally on black because it reminded me of a b2 stealth bomber :) but I'm positive now I would have been just as happy either way! Both great finishes in my opinion.

Side note... Got a little oil on the lock bar, and man does it get sticky! Anybody know why oil makes lockup so sticky? It it cause it allows the lock bar to travel too far and get jammed? Or something else?
