No doubt! That's a big knife, almost as tall (& dangerous) as that fifth. :)

KLJtech - I'll post pics when it arrives. Bummer these knives just disappear too quickly being limited runs. Good for Jason Brous, bad for us who really dig this model & want one in every variety. Eventually, haha.

Funny story: the shutdown of the Kershaw forum led me to the General Knife Discussion forum to ask for flipper alternatives to the ZTs. The rest is history, so is my money, lol.

I was definitely torn between the acid wash and the black cerakote.... Decided finally on black because it reminded me of a b2 stealth bomber :) but I'm positive now I would have been just as happy either way! Both great finishes in my opinion.

Side note... Got a little oil on the lock bar, and man does it get sticky! Anybody know why oil makes lockup so sticky? It it cause it allows the lock bar to travel too far and get jammed? Or something else?

That is my guess as well. Less friction, so it wedges the whole locking mechanism tighter.

That's what I was thinking... But I wasn't sure if there was some sort of other scientific reason why the oil might end up making it stick.

Olybears57, did your landyard hole on yours jiggle around loudly? I ended up removing it because no matter how tight I got it it still jiggled, and I didnt want to be scraping up the liner or the CF, not sure if it was part of design, but I removed it because I dont use landyards.

One thing I've noticed on mine, the lockbar tension is low, creating a bit of play, working on it now...

Hey Guys, my knife just arrived, did a post about it here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/715-General-Knife-Discussion

Question for anyone who knows: what's the recommended lube for this knife, or what has worked well for you? Thanks.

TUF-GLIDE Micro-Bonding Dry Lubricant and Protectant...I've used it for years and Brous Blades recommended it as well. If you start to feel a little friction when opening and closing the knife try putting a drop on the detent hole and than see if that doesn't help. The lube goes on wet but then dries yet stays slick but doesn't attract dust or lint. I use it on all my pivots and on the detent.

Best of luck!

Here is my custom Silent Soldier flipper from Jason:http://campl.us/hYZSm9Tbic8

The handle is anodized aluminum and the blade is in D2. Jason was very responsive to all my questions as well. She is fun to flip and sharpens real well too.

Hey guys, thought this thread was dead! :P Yes, mine moved around too, and I never use lanyards, so I took it out as well.
