Brous Blades

I have owned two, a Division and a Silent Soldier. Quality, fit and finish were good on both.

Thanks ExiledViking.
I did read your topic front to back, and it seems the consensus is that Brous Blades can be pretty hit or miss.

Unlike some people, I do like some of the designs I'm seeing out of BB, and I think I would be willing to take a chance on a knife from BB as long as I purchased it thru BladeHQ.
They have been amazing to me and I'd have no fear about returning it or exchanging it, but BladeHQ is *of course* sold out of the model I want... :grumpy:

The movie "DREDD" was pretty much a ripoff of the movie "The Raid: Redemption".
But if you've never seen The Raid, you would enjoy DREDD very much. I still enjoyed DREDD despite having seen The Raid.

I saw The Raid first and still very much enjoyed Dredd. While I do think in many ways it could be said they are the same movie, to me the former is CQC martial arts style movie, and the other is more run-and-gun, so the action in each is pretty different.

Second Raid is awesome by the way.

I picked up a ss because I love the design but was sad because it's too small for my hands. The flipper cuts into my middle finger when gripping the knife. My division however is my favorite knife. The action is incredible. I suggest buying secondhand so the seller can verify the ff of the knife

I currently own 4 Brous blades. The T4, Reloader, mini division, and silent soldier flipper. I am thoroughly impressed with each of them and find the flipping action to be addictive. I had a Bionic but sold it due to the jimping eating my finger on each flip. According to Brous at Blade he is coming out with a second generation Bionic that has far less aggressive jimping so that it won't suck to flip. Overall I am very pleased with the ones I have and would not hesitate to buy another.

I don't really care about the whole "who copied who" debate, that seems very juvenile. And Microsoft and Apple both ripped off Xerox, whatever. That was Xerox's fault.
Dr Dre rips off beats from lesser-known, underground hip-hop artists, and nobody is aware because nobody ever heard of the original underground artist except for the most dedicated, "into it" hip-hop heads.

I've never heard of Poltergeist.
That's not to say the designs aren't a ripoff, it's just saying that obviously someone is doing a better job at marketing these designs and getting them out there.

I don have a question about F&F inconsistencies though.
Has anyone purchased a Brous Blades knife, either directly, or through an online retailer, and then sent it back over F&F issues?
What was your experience?

So far, one person has said they basically got told to kick rocks over a loose pocket clip.
Pocket clips are not that big of a deal and usually something I can fix myself with some pliers and 10 sec. So I can't see myself sending a knife back for that.
What are some other experiences people have had with sending a BB knife back?

Understand the point you are trying to make but if you are going to use an analogy - at least pick one that is accurate. Dredd was definitely NOT a rip-off of The Raid. Both fun movies and I would personally throw some money towards a Dredd sequel.

To keep this somewhat relevant, I have a Silent Soldier Framelock in full ti. No issues with F&F, flips fast, and an overall interesting design. Definitely not for someone with large paws though.

Brous is hit and miss like any other company out there.I have got bad knives from allmost all makers .spyderco benchmade ,strider, even a bunk sebenza.people are alkways afraid of the future and any new commer.this guy is a one man operation thats pretty damn impressive.al this stealing crap is bull highschool rumors people belive anything.I have 5 brous and 100s of othet knives and for the price brous are far better ff that . All pluss best flipping action.there are only so many ways you can tweak a blade and a handle to not make it look like everone elses knives.this stealing design crap has got to stop is ever bowie knife rip of yes if you believe in stealinv designes same with tanto and drop point.willumsion was a colab he even has his logo on the clip before you make up rumors put up solid proof dont just say what you hear.he was kicked off the other sight for fighting not stealing.get a brous you wont be sorry dont listen to the people who miss out on them .this high school crap is ruining these sites.

As someone who's been kicked off a site or two, I would never hold that against someone :P

The Mini Division Flipper is one of my favorite designs and just feels great in the hand. I have not had the chance to use one but hope to sometime down the road. As for fit and finish on the Brous Blade knives, we check all of ours out thoroughly before shipping them. If you get one from us and there is a fit and finish problem right out of the box then put it back in the box, ship it back to us, and get a full refund including your cost to ship it back to us!
