Kendo: never used. Unbelievably smooth action—like glass. Razor sharp, perfectly centered, rock solid lockup.
Scimitar: used a few times for EDC tasks. Never sharpened but still razor sharp. I took this one apart out of curiosity. Both of these run on ceramic bearings and with D2 steel, they’re both incredible budget offerings. Awesome fit, finish and materials. Both bought from a reputable AD. Like the Kendo, this has perfect centering and ROCK SOLID lockup.
Brous Silent Soldier Ranger: Like the Scimitar, used for a few EDC tasks, but have only had for a few weeks; bought new from an AD (BladeHQ). Never sharpened; razor sharp factory edge. Carried in pocket a few times. Never carried on neck or belt. The grind at the plunge isn’t perfect. Just a bit off at the last ~5% of the blade. Doesn’t affect functionality in the slightest and can easily be sharpened out if you’d like. From what I understand via this forum, this is typical on this model. It’s slight and not really noticeable. Absolutely fantastic kydex sheath. Comes with belt clip and ball bearing neck chain—both completely unused.
