I bought this "new" but on really close inspection I can see some very light directional marks on the tip section that would suggest it had been used at least once. These marks were so light I couldn't catch them with the camera, but in the right light at the right angle you could see them so I'm pointing it out for full disclosure. The pivot bolt on one side appears to either be going along with the acid wash, or have some of the blackening wearing off or not fully applied, which is more likely - it arrived to me that way new, and you can clearly see it in the pics. It fits in with the look of the blade, but because it is cosmetic I'm pointing it out. I have carried this a couple of times but never used it to cut anything, so the blade is factory sharpened and very sharp. This is Jason Brouses collaboration with Mikkel Wilumsen. 3.5" tanto blade and beautiful G10 aggressively carved out scales on both sides. It's a beefy knife width wise, and a daunting presence when deployed, yet still remains within legal limits of most states. Deployment is smooth and satisfying and lockup is tight.
