Here's a brown canvas slipjoint I made for my wife's Grandpa's 90th birthday. After (hopefully) admiring it for a while he slipped it into the small pocket of his old wool sweater, which made me very happy. I think he might actually use it :D

Beautiful knife. Definately a great gift for probally a great gentleman on a special day.

Thanks everyone. It was also a thank you to him for giving me his old tools when they moved out of their house into assisted living. His wife was born in the apartment and moved out with him for several years when they were married but then they both moved back in when her parents moved, so they'd been there their whole lives. They weren't fancy tools, just a whole bunch of hand tools in an old dresser but I was thrilled to get them. Mostly really well built American made tools, a bunch of fasteners and 80+ years of misc stuff to fix stuff up around the apartment. Everything was in pretty neglected condition but I've been working through them cleaning them up and replacing my crappy cheap tools.

Morrow: I think the original pattern was from Wayne Clay's folder in "How to Make Folding Knives" but I keep changing it a little each time.
