Brown modded Waki?

I have read a few times about a modification Mr. David Brown is supposed to have done to a Waki. I believe it was removing the pomel and handle material until the length was just beyond the fourth tube hole. Has anyone seen this and can anyone post a picture of it.

I would be interested as well. I do like the design but i would like to reduce the handle length... Anyone modding these???

Actually, making it single handed did cross my mind when I first handled my Waki.
