Very true, in comparative measure it's a value buy. This may be the last we ever see of this run as well.
There is a theoretical difference in performance but I don't know that anyone has been able to tell the difference in actual use.
I think it has very slight improvements but basically it is just easier to work with for knife makers. I don't think their is any significant differences but I very well could be wrong.
