Brown S35vn PM2 in stock at Howes

Mine just arrived. Manufacture date code on box: GN (July 2014).

Mine also has a GN code on the box. So, these were manufactured in July 2014 and not leftovers? Perhaps more are coming...

Mine is also coded GN but I'm confused; I had read on one of the retail websites that this is a Sprint Run but I haven't been able to confirm this. "This Para-Military knife has a premium full flat ground S35VN blade with a plain edge. The handle scales are earth brown G10 for impressive strength and grip. Sprint-Run, limited quantities." BHQ. Also CS calls it a Sprint. Another says that this is a Moteng exclusive.
Sup?

Mine also has GN date on the box. I wonder how many more they made? The email I got from Howes made it sound like they we're leftover's from the first run like a few others said. There was one dealer selling them for regular PM2 price!

I am going on sort of foggy recollection, but I think this may actually be the third round of this knife, not the second. I bought a couple when they first came out (and still have them). I'll check the box date code and post it here.

Wow the one I ordered from KSF is GN too. I checked the two others that I had bought previously and both are FL (Jun 2012). It does seem like quite a few have surfaced all of a sudden -- on eBay and at multiple retailers -- for it to just be extras.

Perhaps someone at Spyderco found the remaining parts manufactured long ago, they decided to assemble them and send them out now? Intrigue!

That could be, too. All the box code indicates is when it was boxed, though I don't see Spyderco leaving exclusive runs lying around on the shelf for a year or more. Intrigue, as you say. ;)

I ordered one and just got it today and it has the GN code. I one I picked up here from the forum is BL.

I didnt need another one but found a dealer that had them too cheap to pass and luck out and got the last one they had! :) It was the lowest price I have ever seen on them!!

That was quick!! As a new guy to the hobby, is that usually how quick these go? These are not a sprint run but is the limited availability what makes them so desirable? Almost all P2s seem to fly quick though

I'm fairly new my self, but yeah seems fairly normal for PM2s at least, sprints&exclusive runs tend to go very fast, standard models maybe 50-100% slower depending on the exact configuration
