Botach really came through, 1 week from order to delivery and @ $120.
It is awesome! But...it has the Usual Issues:

1)Only 1/2 of the liner is engaged by the blade tang, however I'm sure I will open it enough tonight to fix that.

2)Box was not crushed

3)With blade open but not locked, holding on to the blade w/ one hand and the handle w/ the other the blade will woble on the pivot pin as if the hole in the blade is too big for the pin. Once locked there is no play.

It is the third that concerns me. Is this normal?

This design needs to be seen and felt, pictures do not truly do it justice. This is my first Emerson, but I don't believe it will be my last.

Congrats on getting your knife.

I don't have my Commander with me so I couldn't tell you, but I don't think it does that. Hopefully somebody can get you an answer soon.

No, it's not supposed to wobble when the pivot tension is properly adjusted, but it's left up to you to adjust it the way you like it.

If you'll check through the forum for the last month or so, you should find at least one thread telling you how to adjust it.

There's a whole slew of those unmashed boxes showing up, I'm beginning to wonder if the UPS Shipping Gorilla died!

BTW, Congratulations, do ya LOVE it or WHAT?

Maybe woble isn't the right description. Tell me if this make sense:
Not only do the blade and handle rotate in the same plane, but they slide, independant of each other, in the same plane.

BTW It is a great cutter, the wave is awesome.
