I removed all the forging scale and browned thiis one.

Forge welded, heat treated 1095 steel bit.
Hammer poll to edge is 6" and the edge is 3 3/4".
Head weight @ 1 lb.
Hickory haft is 18".

That is just flat out clean and good looking, in a functional way. Price is really reasonable too. Not much around where I live to chop, or I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
 
Oh come on Geode, 18 inch shaft is plenty long enough to take care of those unfreindly rattlesnakes that need chopping.
 
That is a great looking Axe. If I had the funds I'd buy it in a heart beat.

Keiths hawks are really nice, I bougbht 2 (one went to a friend) and have enjoyed using them this past year. :thumbup:
