Amazing Wakizashi from Ben Tendick. Just perfect fit and finish as you would expect.
CPM 3V blade is ~15", full length fullers and Ben's signature tapered fuller on the spine. I did not measure, but I believe the thickness is ~0.295".
Handle is ~8 1/2" - Black tsuka ito. Epoxy soaked- perfectly wrapped and feels amazing in the hand. Fittings are Ti tsuba, hammered copper seppa and menuki.
Kydex sheath- which is a perfect fit, and an additional leather sheath.
I am the second owner, but it is still new as received from maker. If you have never owned any of Ben Tendick's blades, you are in for a real treat. This blade has great balance and just swings like a natural extension of your arm. I hate to see it go, but have other things to pay for.
Price is quite a bit lower than maker's: $1000>> $OLD shipped. MO or paypal goods is fine. *Not really interested in trades, but I will definitely consider Rob Criswell waki's in partial trade. I am specifically looking for one with his laser cut tsuba. Will also consider certain Spyderco's and a Reate District 9 TANTO blade only.*
