Here's a frame handle take-down Bowie Bruce and I would like to share with you. I wanted a highly embellished (yet tasteful) gentleman's Bowie with an antique flair. Bruce certainly obliged and named it "The Allen Pinkerton Bowie" after the founder of the Pinkerton Detective Agency.

Bruce did an amazing job on this Bowie in my opinion as did Jere Davidson on the substantial engraving and inlay. They have worked together on several "cut & shoot" pieces and the results have always been outstanding.

Add a beautiful Paul Long sheath and Coop's amazing images and we have a very pleased knife collector. Thanks Guys! :)

Bruce shares the creation of this piece from beginning to end. http://www.customknifecollectorsassociation.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=33

Let us know what you think. And as always, thank you in advance for your interest and comments.

Here's the specifications:

I don't know what to say. I'm just stunned! I have seen some updates on this knife over the months, but the finished product! Whow! Truly a museum piece or might I say a legacy piece Kevin. Thanks for sharing.

Terrific work by all of the artists involved. Bruce's feather damascus really rocks.

This one's just stunning, Kevin, from damascus, through construction, scales, engraving, sheath, and photography. Absolutely, completely, outstanding!

John

A very tasteful, well executed piece....A top notch sheath, and excellent
photography.........just dosen't leave anything to want...!

Kevin, this is no doubt one of the best looking Bowies
I have seen in a very long time!!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Outstanding knife in every way. Looks like a team effort that had everyone focused on a clear vision. I can definately see that as something Pinkerton may have carried. It would match up very nicely with an old, engraved Colt. Congratulations, Kevin!

Kevin, Thank you for sharing this. I agree with David. One of the best. An outstanding Bowie.

I'm glad I had a day where my family was unable to distract me. This one took every bit of my attention--deservingly!

There was hidden and apparent treasure everywhere. Just spectacular. Every artisan gave it their very best.

Kevin, you are a fortunate man. Bruce, Paul, and Jere, are gifted artisans. I'm pleased that you would appreciate my work, although it's relatively small in comparison.

Thanks!

Coop

This is one of those cases where I just don't understand how Coop can let them go! I mean its nice to have amazing knives coming in for inspection every day, but how do you part with them!!! :)

Just my thoughts as I came back for another peek.

You guys all did fantastic and thats a great photo of the package!

Wow I like every thing about that knife congrats Kevin. Bruce you have don it again.

I'm just stunned by this one. The knife made me say "oh wow" out loud then down to that crazy sheath I just said "geez"...

And phenomenal photography to show it all off.. Definitely will be a top 10 for 2010 for me.

Edt: Had to look again.. Just saw the extra groove in the sheath between the edge and the stitching.. Don't think I've seen that before Paul and it's amazing how an apparently small detail does so much to frame this piece.
