Hey Peter. I dont have a pic but the barrel is bored, shortened, breech plugged, turned, tapered, flared, and octagoned. The muzzle is turned down to accept the axe head and the axe damascus (1000 layer) is done. Still pondering on how to forge out the cutting edge on the axe.
I talked to Chuck Bybee about the wood an he is going to send me an 8ft 2x4 of curly koa. He said to take it out of the middle and send the rest back!

I feel very fortunate to have been able to see the making of the hawk gun. All I can say is AWESOME!!!!! Hardly wait to see the finished product.
