I have one and love it. I used to have a bunch of silva's but when I started really getting into topo maps and gps, the 8099 is the one to have. It's the best one I've seen so far for the 1:24,000 scale topo maps. Makes it real easy to mark and measure waypoints on the map.
I had to send it back once because it developed a large bubble in it. The company was a joy to work with and replaced it no questions asked. Had it back in about a week and a half. I'd highly recommend!
