Brusletto and Helle knife companies

My mom is in Norway, and she texted me and asked me if I had ever heard of the companies Brusletto or Helle and if I would want a knife by either one. The handles came in wood, bone, and reindeer hoof (?) I didn't know anything about either of the companies, and they were $100 each so when she asked if I wanted a "Handmade" knife instead, I jumped on the opportunity.
Has anyone ever used a knife by either company? Did I make a good decision, or pass up a great opportunity?

Both are very competent companies with excellent products, that look great as well. For you they will be a perfect introduction to the world of scandinavian fixed blades. I personally love that they don't look tactical at all.
