I say brute because this knife is a solid heavy duty utility knife made from forge welded 1 1/4'' cable.

Specs are:

O.A. Length:7 5/8''

Width: 1 1/4''

Tip to Choil: 3 1/8''

Thickness: 1/4'' stock (I made)

Blade: Edge hardened 2x's, double tempered, flat ground, razor sharp

Finish: deep etch, then lightly buffed off to enhance the pattern of the cable, then oiled.

Handle: Stabilized blue maple burl, pics dont show due to lighting, but it's kind of irradescent, from real dark midnight blue, then at a different angle it's a light blue gray. pins are 3/32'' hand peened nickle silver.

Price: SOLD with hand stitched leather sheath

thanks for look'en

Andrew

Even some minimal white/offwhite handle slabs would have made the cable damascus stand out more, IMO.

I love to see cable damascus knives.

here's another shot, trying to get the contrats of the scales, and the pattern of the steel is posing to be a challange for me on this one----------:(

Hello, just for knowledge, how much did this beauty run to?

Combining 2 of my favorite attributes, a prominent temper line (or hamon as some incorrectly assume now I know :)) and contrasting damascus. Material wise what is cable normally compared to in terms of steel type?

I had my eye on one of your temper line carbon steel blades (in the future when the budget is completed) but I wouldn't mind upgrading to this :)
