I'm a brand new knife-maker. I just got the bubble jig, and i can already tell a difference in my bevels. However, i have a few questions for those who have used the bubble jig.
1. does the bubble jig magnet ever try and latch on to the platen as you start from your plunge line? the magnet throws my placement off at the beginning of my pass.
2. does anyone sometimes have trouble w/the length of the bubble jig clamp not fitting on the bolt side of your platen attachment? i have a kmg and it seems like i have to be very precise with the vertical placement of the knife/jig or else i don't get to the belt smoothly.
