For those of you who have not seen this video, its back to the top.

Wow that's very cool! I can see that's a handy tool to have around!

Jason

I made it to help improve my grinds; which it did, now I find uses for it in many different situations.

Simple but effective.

Thanks for posting, Fred

Have a great week and happy grinding, Fred

I havent had a chance to use mine yet but it looks quality made, I have a question I noticed in the video your flat platen is at about a 45 deg angle is that easier than using 90 deg. platten? I am in the process of building my platten looks like you may be able to see it easier with your set up?
Thanks Anthony

Hi Anthony,

I like the platen at the 45 degree pitch, or there about. It is easier for me to lock my elbows into my sides at this pitch.
I also grind sitting down with my feet on the rail that goes around the bottom of the chair. It is comfortable and easy on the back.

Many people grind on machines like the Wilton machine that has a vertical platen and do just fine, I think its a matter of how you learn to grind.
I would suggest trying different positions and see what feels right to you.
FRED

At the age of 65 you want to take every advantage you can:D
