Just got my new Knives Illustrated, and they had an article showing some of the Buck employees, and C.J. They had produced 1 million knives as of Oct. the 29th, I think, for the year 2010.That is simply amazing considering the economy we are still in now. Thumbs up to Buck employees whose hard work and quality that earned the business to get Buck that numbers. I know it starts at the top, but it goes all the way to the last employee also. I am so proud to be a Buck owner.

I like to hear that, I contacted buck recently to see about working for them after I have got work approval from immigration...what better than to make the knives you love? 1,000,000 knives in one year is absolutely awesome!

I always wondered how many knives they've made and now I know.I'm thinking they have made more 110s than any other knife, maybe someone from Buck will weigh in on that.

That was 1 mil. Domestic units by the end of OCT. We were well past that at year end. Not sure on how many 110s were done over the years..

It does my heart good to hear of Buck's success. I don't think it could happen to a more deserving company.

Our focus on American Made for the past few years has really jumped our domestic production numbers. We hired over 45 people last year...most on the floor. Now we do it all again for 2011.

As to the 110's...I put some numbers together years ago but I would estimate we have made over 10 million 110's. There were some years in the 70's where that knife alone was way over half our business. I think at the top we were making over 600k 110's in a single year...as always will stand corrected since some of you out there probably have a number produced including decimal points.....

It is so nice to hear a company bringing product back here to the states, AND adding employees

Its not often we hear anything that positive...

My best wishes in 2011 to you, your family and all your employees
