Buck 110 Auto Elite blade steel?

I am looking for a Buck 110 Auto Elite. I am concerned about what blade steel that they are actually offered with. I see them advertised on the Buck site as Magnacut. I see them on various other sites labeled as Magnacut...BUT..the pictures posted shows the S30V!

So what steel are they?

I have both. Bought the S30V long ago; the Magnacut at SMKW this Jan, if that helps (they still have it in stock). Note that S30V is not worse, just different (longer edge holding).

They were originally offered in s30v.
Buck recently changed them to magnacut.
Some retailers may have either. Maybe you could find a deal on a s30v one?
Ask the retailer.

If you got it directly from Buck it would likely be magnacut.

I have the original auto elite in s30v as has been mentioned and would like to get a new Magnacut version too. For what it is worth, I just ordered the new "web exclusive" 110 in s35v off the Buck website and while the picture at that time showed an s30v version, it did indeed come as described in s35v. I assumed they just hadn't updating their pictures yet.

There was a running change back in 2025 for the 110 and 112 Auto Elite from S30V to Magnacut.
