Buck 110 Folder

Carry that 110! I only replace my current 110 abuser when it gets so ugly that it makes me look good by comparison....:p
Camping trip or city to city? There may be some local ordinances that may need to be researched depending on state/city. If you don't look like trouble or act like a bonehead most LEOs seem to overlook a belt carried lockblade.
If your trip is woodsnweeds.....you are well set and will not be disappointed.
For reference as per law check out the Knife Laws subforum.
For a more 'concentrated' Buck enthusiast opinions on this knife see the Buck subforum under the 'Manufacturers' heading.
......and the rest of y'all quit whining about the weight...great for driving nails, tent pegs and bustin' teeth. Pocket carry is really only an issue if yer not wearing jeans, aka 'Texas armor'.

Im going into the middle of nowhere in new york state near syracuse and i think me and a couple buddies are going to go camping on their land so i wanted to be prepared with a knife.

I would take the 110 without a thought.
Mine is bg-42 and came to me scalpel sharp. Love that knife.
Water Buffalo jigged handles and finger ridges.

sexxy!

mine slides through paper like nothin and shaves too, so sharpness is not the issue here. Although i put a razor edge on my M16 and cut myself and didnt even know it! What im wondering is will the blade wear down, tip snap, or the knife just not hold up and what would it take to do those things. I have issues with knives dulling and it drives me nuts, i hate sharpening my knives i like to just use them and know they wont wear down. Tips also get chipped or flattened sometimes, that bothers me too. Never had a knife fall apart on me, yet.

Haha, im sorry. Knives are an addiction. You can always give up knives and give em to me, my addictions bad, no turning bad now :-D

Let us know if it works out. I have been thinking of getting a Buck 110 but wanted to make sure all the bugs are out of it before doing so.

What bugs?

The Buck 110 is simply one of the best designed knives of all time.

A 110 is just one of those things that you should have, if you're into knives. It's a standard to judge every other folder in its class by. And I agree it's one of the best bargains on the planet.

Mine is nearing 20 years old and solid as a rock. The last 3/32" of the needle-like tip has been gone for a long time :o. It's now a slightly rounded, sharpened tip.

It's a great tool. Definitely do not be afraid to put it to work; it won't let you down!

Yeah, its sharp allright. I like how it can be ran across my finger and not cut me like the CRKT i just sharpened lol. But it cuts like you wouldnt believe.
