Not sure if this has been posted on before, and Hopefully i'm not violating anything here and it is definitely not a price spot, but has anyone noticed the huge price jump of the 110 at Wall world??
It's almost doubled and went from around $34 to $60! I know they were a huge value at $34, but I'd have to think at $60 it's going to cut into sales?
Has the steel been upgraded on the original/plain Buck 110 and I've missed something?

yeah we talked about it couple months ago think it was. besides the worst inflation in what 40 years or more........ Walmart was selling below the map and i assume was allowed to.....but dont know if walmart did it on their own or if Buck asked them to.......who knows....

nothings changed material wise other than the ebony scale change couple years ago.

it was the best at 34 but still great at 60 if ya consider American made and brass and ebony and proper heat treated 420hc steel, etc.

I saw this :( Im glad I got mine back when they were cheap. I still think that theyre a decent value, considering that a plastic flimsy Spyderco Endura made in Japan is like $90-100 these days. The 110 kicks butt even if they doubled the price, but it sucks because the 110 was a great value. Now it is just fair in the market I think.
The 119 at Walmart went up in price too, theyre about $70 now. :(

The "new" $60 110's listed on the WM website use Crelicam Ebony covers whereas the $35.17 model uses "Attractive Wood Grain" covers. My 2015 and 2017 WM 110's both have "Attractive Wood Grain"(engineered wood)covers.

It appears that Buck didn't see enough financial incentive to keep offering the "Attractive Wood Grain" WM model any longer and decided to drop it and offer WM customers the Ebony model that other retailers offer.

pretty sure that was either old stock if someone got one and poorly updated website. Walmart is terrible about updating their website. also bad for accurate information.

lots of guys were finding old stock for a long time at walmarts after the ebony came out and was showing up at dealers.....

also I was buying online the 35 dollars and change and they were real ebony ones for awhile now. I have a handful I bought and all are real ebony on package.......

Waldemart held the line at $35 for quite a while after other retailers jumped to the $60 price point. We discussed it multiple times in multiple topics and those who heeded the warnings took advantage of the last few months of the $35 Buck 110s. Alas, those days are gone . . . that ship has sailed . . . the water is under the bridge . . . the cookies have crumbled . . . the action figure was removed from its mint condition original packaging . . . the toothpaste has been squeezed . . .

Given that, the Buck 110 is worth $60 easily for what you get.

If you need a Buck bargain, you might still be able to find a Buck 110 LT at Waldemart or some other places for about $20. I like them a lot better than the slim series because the blade is the same as the regular Buck 110. Too bad the Buck 112 LT is history!

Yes it was old stock. I would wait till summer so all the previous years stock would be replaced with the current year and buy a couple at that $35 price. I will just order from the great Buck website and with my BCC discount its i think in the $38 range add tax and shipping so in th 40 dollar range somewhere.
What I don’t get is inflation is 7.5-8% as of announcement today so not sure why price would double except because wally had it way under MSRP. Was told walmart as long as they didn’t advertise the price known as MAP they could undercut everyone? I call that competition.

The 4-5 that I have recently purchased were with Crelicam Ebony and were 35.17. I had several other pressing tasks and forgot to check when I was in town today.

I was trying to tell that for over a year !
Considered to be a moron by knife establishment
Who is loser now :^D

BTW - it's just a preludium ...
Zulus ya are gonna have to translate that into easier to understand English for me..

which part of my statement? the talked about it months ago part or the worst inflation part of my post?

who was considered a moron....and who is the knife establishment? which people?

not following....who was the "loser" and who is the "loser" now?

preludium....interesting choice of words there.....okay an intro song or writing turning into what?

I suspect it was more of a contract that Walmart did with Buck Knives years ago that has recently expired. But this is just a guess on my part. Buck instilled MAP pricing in 2018.

My $35 WM 110 has Ebony covers. Screaming deal at that price. An excellent deal at $60. Still shocking to see the huge price increase basically overnight.
