BUCK 110 Hunter! Show your pics, ask your questions, praise, complain, whatever.

No criticism form me, i'm interested in your thoughts. I just noticed that you did not give us what you think on your topic. Once you do I'll answer with a photo or two and my thoughts on this subject.

I personally love the buck 110. It's attractive, sturdy, and has a nice blade shape. My only gripe is about the weight. I don't enjoy wearing tools on my belt regularly so I carry lightweight folding knives clipped in my pocket. However, I do envision using the 110 (maybe have to buy another so I don't mess up the 50th one) for camping and any outdoor tasks that requires a more robust knife. I am also looking at the smaller 112 as a lighter version. Bottom line is, I think for the price this is one of the most attractive, sturdy and functional knives I own.

Hello Aremente,

Welcome to the Buck forums, it's a great place with fantastic folks that come here to communicate all things Buck! I've been an active member here from 2005 to present and still learn something new just about each week. Ten years ago I started to collect knives again and most of the company's that I knew as a kid were gone, failing, or bought by foreign company's and cheaply made and sold under the old name:(. The first Buck knife I bought in 2004 was at Walmart it was at Christmas time and in a fancy box, I was horrified when the blade stamp said Taiwan! I was sad to think even the old American icon Buck Knives was gone:eek:.

I decided to look these old company's up on the internet and see what I could learn. I found that most of these old company's were gone and now just names used to sell junk knives IMHO. However, Buck knives was still an active US made knife company, with only a few knives being made overseas to meet price constraints put on them by some of the big box type retailers. It was at this time I found out about the BCCI that I joined and have become a life member of. In addition, I found out about the Buck Forum here at BF by none other than MR. Larry Oden. The rest of my Buck Knife story can be found here in the old threads over the years. I have done just about every one of the things you wrote in your OP ("Show your pics, ask your questions, praise, complain, whatever") and the folks here still welcome me here, just like family that I talk with but have never met in person.

The Buck 110 is one of my favorite Buck knife models (I have many favorite models;))

That is quite the collection. Nice!

John, A outstanding collection. I may joke some but Gents, I can't say anything but good about this collector and many others here. DM

I think most of you have seen the Buck 110 that I carry; the one I put my own wood scales on, along with the added brass. Here are some pictures I took of it out in the woods the other day:
