Buck 110 inlay materials?

Are the wood inlays on the custom Buck 110s made of stabilized/treated wood? How durable is are the waterbuffalo inlays(Will they crack if the knife is accidentally dropped?)? Thanks.

The inlays are made of a variety of processes. Some of the woods are made of the laminated birchwood and all of them are very durable. The horn or woods may dent if dropped on someting hard but broken inlays are not something we get 110's back for very often. Usully, if the inlay is broken, the knife was used as a hammer, pry bar, or run over, and the case is deformed.
