Ya, I got a counter point, why bother with the poll. I was rather anxious for the drop point, as was voted on in the poll. If it is a clip point I will pass.

However, I do realize it is your project and you can do what you want.

I would also counter with pretty much everyone who voted on the poll was counting on a drop point. Why have a poll and then change a major component like the blade shape? The smoke jumper got the clip blade, its drop point this time around. However as was mentioned, its your call.

I guess the first and easiest counterpoint to the above statements is summed up in the title to this post:

Not trying to be snarky or in any way disrespectful, but it was spelled out pretty clearly that this was going to be a drop point knife. Kind of a turn off for me hearing that now it is going to be a clip point.

Just my opinion and congrats to those who prefer the clip point.

I'm not interested in collecting different colored handles of the same knife.

My interest,at least for this knife,is different blade shapes and different steels.

I'm not a woman,who may need different colors to match an outfit. LOL
 
That color blue is perfect. :thumbsup:

I'm a fan of clip and drop point, but that is a big change this late in the game. I would meet in the middle though, a drop point with no nail nick. :)
 
Put yourselves in our shoes for a moment. We sit in our own heads and run things around and around and then out pops, "well there is a huge push for clip point in a drop point poll". So we say, let's throw it out there, let's see if there is a push back. And here we are with a push back. You all know it's IMPOSSIBLE to make everyone happy. You are also right that it is our call to put a name of a poll out there, offer a free knife, and then change our minds, BUT I'm not interested in a power play. I just want to make the people happy! So keep em coming, I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. Keeps us out of our own heads and on track with you all. :thumbsup:
 
I prefer the clip point ... but ... I think changing horses this late in the game is a mistake. If there's enough demand for another run of clip points, that can always happen later.
 
I don't have the smoke jumper, or the black 110 LT. I also have no intention of getting one either, as they are clip points.
There were a few who wished for clip point, but I tend to imagine that if someone didn't want a drop point they wouldn't have voted at all.

I prefer the clip point. But since there was no vote for blade shape, I just voted for a color (yellow which failed miserably).

You can change to a clip point since it’s your party; but this is as much about your cred as it is the knife. Drop point was a foregone conclusion.
