Buck 110 - malfunction, lock bar will not engage.

Some of us can actually do both. Use them, and take pictures... I'm sure it would suck having this happen in a short period, but you have to remember that ANY knife company can, and will, have bad ones slip through the cracks.

I wouldn't condemn the entire line of Buck folders because of this.

I agree and I myself enjoy taking photos of knives and I post pictures sometimes on this website and it's awesome to post photos of knives, but I have bought all kinds of brands of knives and the last time a knife has flat out failed and fallen apart it was a Smith & Wesson knife, I wasn't expecting a Buck knife made in USA to just flat out fail so quick.

Heck, I've had a $900.00 rifle and a $28,000.00 car have to go back for warranty repair - not an everyday occurrence but it does happen. My $550.00 Leupold scope, after several seasons of use, had to be repaired three years ago to get the tracking system fixed - now it's the most reliable scope I own - but I did have to take it off the rifle, mail it to Oregon, and then re-zero it when it was returned to me (fast as lightning too!) Best to avail yourself of the great customer service that Buck has earned it's reputation on and then you will recover from the disappointment once you get a perfect knife back. Best wishes for the Christmas Season, OH

what is the process with sending in broken knives to Buck ?, Do I just send it directly to them or is there a warranty department?, and how much will the shipping cost me?

Yep,
Just bring it to the Post office, put some stamps on and ship it to Buck.
Buck will cover the return shipping costs. I'm in The Netherlands and they cover the International shipping costs as well.
Excellent service!

Can you send it in to my attn? That spring cracking like that is very very rare and I would like to take a look at it.
Ifyou have already sent it, e-mail me your name so I can chase it down

When you produce a product on a large scale it is inevitable that a couple will make it threw that shouldn't. The important part is that the company is ready willing and able to fix it.
