Buck 110 or 112?

I bough both a 110 and 112 recently , so I don't have to decide anymore :D

I like both equally , but the 110 is my EDC now.

Just name one cutting job where it would make any difference which one you had...If a 112 has finger grooves and maybe a drop point it WILL do 95% of all your knife chores no matter what size your hand is...There really is not much difference ...To my mind FINGER GROOVES lets people with different size hands hold and use a knife much more safely in hard use.I have never been cutting something with a 112 and said 'Darn, wish I had a 110'...

sorry,,,the devil made me do it. :p

My wife has carried a 110 Bucklite exclusively since 2007 and me a FG . We do a lot of cutting limbs, rope, fruit, chicken and other game . I'll admit a 112 could do equally 70% of this work and I own many 112's and really like the handle . This choice is just our personal preference . You'll have to come to a conclusion in like manner about the two knives the things you like based on what you'll use it for . Main thing is, your enjoyment .

As nice as the 112 is, the 110 just has the perfect dimensions.
There's a reason that it has been so often copied by so many.

It would work if you took them out only one at a time.

im just not sure where id hide em all:D i only have a couple, and this section of the forum has reminded me just how much i value my 110s. Benchmade got put up, and a 2000 made 110 had been riding in my back pocket for the past couple days now. i dont see that changing either.

I've decided.
To keep my masculinity in tact ;) and because they're freakin sweet
(not to mention the dick's sporting goods near me didn't have a 112)
I'm going with the finger grooved 110 in 420hc.
Thanks for all your help guys. (I think I have a small hand complex now though) :D

hi, i'm new on the forums. saw this question and had to chime in. i carry the 110 daily in a jacket pocket or book bag. it's probably my favorite knife and sometimes i even use it in the kitchen. that said, i find i the 112 with finger grooves usable for most other occasions. both great, classic folders worth picking up. good luck.

Agreed! I tend to lean towards the 110 myself, but to each his own I guess :D

I think you will be happy with your choice not-too-sharp. Pick up a 112 down the road and post your thoughts! ;)

Will do :D
It was an easy decision once I got the 110 in my hand though.

Welcome to the forum jazub. Thanks for your input, if you have those two knives you are certainly an informed opinion:thumbup: Hope to hear more:)

Good choice! I've had a 110FG for years, it fits my hand real well.

Now you can compare apples and oranges. A 110 will cut either in half, a 112 not so well.

110 is best for me.

Watch for the new Ecolites! They should suit the people who don't like the weight but like the blade size.

I'm still waiting to have one of those in my hand before I buy though. May break down soon and just order it.

thanks for the welcome, imafritz. i do have both -and i'm trying to rationalize buying another 110 just because it's such a pleasure in hand. maybe i'll go with a different handle wood
