It seems someone bought them all and has cornered the market.I just want one.![]()
How can you tell that and can I approach them?It seems someone bought them all and has cornered the market.
Copy that. Is the only difference between the 112 and a 110, 3/4 in blade length?I double checked.
Sorry, it's 5160 112's they have.
They're on that big auction site.
Thank you. That's a beautiful knife you have there. Please forgive my interruption as I know you were not addressing me.
The handle is also shorter than the 110 and the 112 front bolster has a built in finger guard. Here's an in hand pic of a 112 Ranger.

You certainly are welcome and thank you as well.Thank you. That's a beautiful knife you have there.
that's a good point and visual there, to show it.Is it intended as a finger guard, or is being a finger guard merely a coincidence?
Seriously... I was always under the impression it was there to alleviate the pinch/snag point where the lock notch on the blade would be exposed without.
The front of the knife is dimensionally similar to the 110. They designed the handle to provide room to pinch the blade to open it. Remember, early 112s had no nail nick. The 110 has the benefit of being long enough that the transition from front to rear is gradual enough to serve the same purpose but be less of a hook at the front.
Perhaps it's a finger guard that coincidentally alleviates that pinch and snag gap.
Chicken - V - Egg... what say you?
Hey OB. I could only find a couple of 112's w/5160. Could you send me a PM with the link to the 110 w/5160?There is currently one on ebay.
O.B.
At my membership level, I can't send PMs. That's why I posted in this thread. But the listing is ended now. It looks like someone beat you to it by 1/2 hour. Sorry.Hey OB. I could only find a couple of 112's w/5160. Could you send me a PM with the link to the 110 w/5160?

Tank you, caquino!Another knife that I was unaware of it's existence... I'm curious, anyone know how many were made for C&C? That would give some idea on how elusive it might be to find one. Uncle Timbo... I'll add you to my list of people that I'm keeping an eye out for stuff during my "travels".
Even though Claude told me that Buck cut them off?I'd sign up for alerts on their website.
Yes. There was some chatter last year that they may not get any more special items in the future yet some did show up and that's how I found out in time to get the 112 and 110 knives in 5160.Tank you, caquino!
