??Buck 110 Release Tomorrow (01/10/2022)??

Very exciting that Buck has plans for Magnacut.

Even if you are not a collector, user, or fan of the 110, the fact they put time into developing heat treat protocols for a new-to-market steel is awesome, in my opinion.

Also, hopefully bodes well for it being incorporated into multiple different knives (112 and 113, please!).

Mixed feelings. Feel like I need buy one for the collection but wish it had been a bit more special looking. Appearance wise it's just another brass 110. I predict this one will be like the July '22 BOTM 119. Initial quick sales but will take a good while to sell all 1,000 at that price point. Just checked on that 119 BOTM, finally, only 8 left, so it has taken 6 months. Push a 110 past $100 and it needs to be more special appearing.than just the blade.

addendum.... boy was I wrong, all 1,000 sold out in a little over 6 hours from the time I received the email.

good read by the creator of it.....its impressive across the board.....

I didn't order one but David did..And just check out what the Custom shop charges for the basic knife before any options. So basically a $45.00 upcharge for the steel. What I think is cool is the new year (2023) stamp. Just add the handle material of your choice later if you want something fancy! Like all brass frame 110's Stag or Buffalo horn will go great same with Rams horn. If I was king I would have made it with a Nickel silver frame and barehanded with Ironwood or Koa..If they make a 112 I will.
Edit: I wonder if it can be mirror polished?

I'm seriously considering buying one myself and I am NOT a steel snob..I have a few 110's and 111's and especially for a desk knife they are perfect. Really zips open the mail and of course cutting the odd food item. I don't NEED another knife of course but Magnacut does seem to be the real deal. I don't think I would have trouble trading it for a fancy 112 down the road even if I use it for a few months..

I carry a 110 to work every day.

I don't carry $100 plus knives to a jobsite.
I like the idea, but outside of work I usually carry something besides a 110.

More than half of them sold already.....
How can you tell how many sold?
