Buck 110 switchblade

Robert, I havent seen that particular style with the round button-looks like theyve done a nice job. The popular auction site has been littered with them recently. I dont know where they are being produced.

First link is the link to Russian guns forum , which is forum number one in Russia.
All texts are in Russian , I can read it of course.

I need to do some research for you but I know there is a 110 switchblade conversion that is American Made. Folks when you go down this path please make sure that your local Laws allow these knives.
Up in in Idaho we can have them and fully auto guns with the right BATF tax stamp.

I see them on eBay fairly often, but most are from one seller and they have been rehandled in stag or antler. I don't know about the mechanical workings of those, but the handle work looks pretty crude.

Here's an American conversion (at least I think so) that I have. It has some really nice filework on it too IMO.

For some reason, those conversions like this with the oblong button, the name of the conversion company "Paragon" jumps into my head. There are also some with round buttons that I forget who does them.

I've owned various knives that are illegal for quite some time, I try not to get into debates regarding bali and auto legalities, these are novelty items for me (thus kept in my collection and occasionally get them out to mess with)...not pieces i would edc, that one Plumberdv is really nice! after some more searching I found a site selling the ones from the Russian site with the round button, not too bad on the price either and the handle work doesn't look too bad.

Pretty sure I can see the buck stamp on them all, so at least they are not Chinese cheap clones.

The better conversions are those with wire-EDM mods; and are oblong buttoned and double-action. You can usually find them on BB or TKA for ~$135...The 112 is also done DA as well as the 110...

forgive my ignorance (this is the only blade oriented site i'm on) but what sites do BB and TKA acronyms represent so I can google them.

Thanks mate, $135 seems reasonable for a customized 110.

It should also be noted that Buck will not warranty anything on these knives because they are modified! ;)
Thats true.
FYI, I seem to remember Cumberland mountian doing these but my memory could be off. Funny thing, I once found and bought a chinese counterfiet of a 110 modified by Cumberland. They counterfieted the Buck, and Cumberlands work! It was even etched with both companies logos.

In MOST states, there is a big legal difference between ownship of such a knife and possession (carrying) of such a knife on one's person.

Very true. I believe that where I live, you can own them, just not carry. I can check on that. There are places in the USA where they are not illegal.

Yes I believe I have seen Cumberland conversions as well.

Sweet looking conversion Dave!

Thanks. I just read where Cumberland stopped production well over a year ago, so now their conversions are selling for big bucks. I hope mine is a Cumberland!

going through that, most states have some sought of mention to switchblades but also via wording make a good portion of knives we all carry and can whip open with a wrist flick illegal to carry. I love switchblades for the novelty, I dont trust them in my pocket, some have locks but even then the locks are not 100%.

Buy for the collector factor, I love Italian switchblades but know if I went out with one in my pocket and got pulled up chances are I would be needing a lawyer.

Here's a version for $140.

These are legal in FL, and if you have a weapons permit you can carry them. Check with your state laws. Even though the "assisted" openers are popular now, every knife lover should have at least one switchblade.
