I have my knife inventory listed in a spreadsheet. Last night I was looking for how many 110s I own (three to be exact). While I was searching for those, I see a 111 listed. I didn't even know that I owned one! And I couldn't even remember what a 111 was! I had to look online. I had the date I bought it, description, etc. listed. I even found the order confirmation email from Buck. I ordered it on May 30, 2019. It still was not coming back to me.

Today I was able to dig it up. After seeing it, I vaguely remember ordering it now. I didn't have any pics, so I took some earlier today. [I think I need an intervention for my knife collecting habit!]

For reference, this is what was in my notes: 0111WASLC-B 111 Folding Hunter - Limited Production. The original 111 Folding Hunter® was developed in 2004, made to resemble the 55 because of its radius bolsters. It wasn’t until 2005 when Buck Knives moved to Idaho that it was released. Easily mistaken for the 110, the 111 has the 110 body, with the only difference being the rounded bolsters. This 111 Folding Hunter®’s features a tumbled finished, drop point, 420HC steel blade, and a walnut handle with rounded brass bolsters . Only 81 produced. A black, leather sheath is included. Proudly made in the USA.

That's an impressive knife!!

Beautiful knife!

The story I heard was that. This model was made so the knife stores could offer something better than the 110, which was being sold at Walmart.

I was unaware of actual limited edition ones. Yours is really special with the drop point. Again its a beautiful knife!

Congratulations on the rediscovery of the 111. That's an awesome piece!

This afternoon, I found 6 boxes of 22lr in a bag under the seat of my truck. It does feel pretty good!

Interesting. I've never heard of much less seen your rendition of the Buck 111 - very nice.

This is my Buck 111 and the only way I've ever seen one.

These Buck 111 knives came out in 2005 along with the Buck 55 knives. The Buck 111 I show was discontinued in 2008.

You've got a unique knife. Thanks for showing it.

My only 111. Pretty scarce all brass version. One of only a handful. I'm too far from my notes, but seems only 5 or 6 were made.

I have a few aluminum 111's but I really like your brass 111. I also have sheath's for them but not in the condition yours is in. Very Nice!

It could benefit from a little flitz and elbow grease.
