Buck 111 with Elk Scales

I bought two of these when they first came out in (I think) 2005, so I'm selling this guy.

Beautiful elk scales, all metal parts polished. Scales curve gracefully into bolster. Bolster and liners are all one piece. Nice jimping on the blade spine, lockbar, and back spacer. Gorgeous knife! I wouldn't sell it if I didn't have its twin. Numbered 208/250. New in original box, with belt pouch, papers, and packing foam.

Any idea what blade steel it is?

Whoops! I shoulda noted that...although the blade does not have a steel type marked on it, the certificate of authenticity that comes with it says 420HC.
