Buck 112 3 Dot, No Nail Nick Questions

Just picked this up from an antique store, along with a Buck 192 Harley Davidson state rally model for $105 total, and I know NOTHING about these older bucks. Can anyone tell me what year it's from and what steel it uses? Also, I had to clean it up, the brass was tarnished and the wood was DRY, so I polished the brass with Blue Magic polish cream and oiled the wood. Thank you!

Your Buck would be a 1980-1981 production and the steel would be 440C.
