I have the opportunity to pick up a new 112 with sheath, but w/o the box for $20. I've seen the 112 before and thought it felt good in my had. What are your thoughts on the 112?

Get it, any new 112 is worth more than that . They run about 45$ new in my knife stores . They are a good, sound utility, locking folder knife . Large enough for most knife duties . DM

Good price. I'd buy.

I used to be dedicated to 110s and the 112 was invisible to me.....I just ignored it.

Once I owned one......it grew on me.

So.......these days I carry a Four-Dot 112 that I lucked into by chance and ..... here it's become my favorite knife. Go figure.

:D

Just got a 112 off the bay for a bit more than that, heck of a good knife design! Very stout.

Congrats, you'll love it! Flitz works well for polishing, also brasso Or eagle one makes a nice polish too. Any pics yet? :D

112 is my favorite knife. I've used it to dress deer, hogs and kitchen duty. Great knife, its a perfect size for me.

That is pretty much how it happened to me. My first 110 I bought was in 1974 and I never had a thought of a 112 till around 2007 or so. They kind of grow on you. I still have more 110's, but the 112's have their place.

Nice!!

Rub a little Mink Oil into that sheath before you get into heavy use, it will preserve and protect.

:)

Hawk, good to see you present and accounted for . That 2 dot 112 is in good shape . Are you going to shapen and use it some ? Let us know what you think . DM

Another vote for Flitz polish. It cleaned up the brass and SS backing on my 17 y.o. 112 perfectly. My sheath is pretty worn looking after wearing it daily for over a decade with no real care. May not be a bad idea to hit your with Mink Oil to give it a good start.
