Buck 112

I am new to this forum as well as knife collecting . Thanks for bringing me on board. A good friend gave me a Buck knife . It does not have a nail pull . Is this normal for Buck knives ? It is 4" closed , and has a 3" blade marked BUCK 112 USA. Thakhs for any help .------Papa Smurf

check for dots on the markings, like this one has

WOW !! What a great response and so quick. My knife has the dots each side 112 and after the U S and A . Thanks ever so mutch ------Papa Smurf

The 112 Ranger model, first made in 1972, has quite a following. The "two-dot", as yours is referred to, was made from 1974 thru 1980 per the Buck 112 Timeline document posted in the Buck Forum. Here is a direct link to the Buck 112 Ranger thread -
