Buck 118 with D-2 blade

ITE the handle on the SMKW D2 118 Personal is made from anthracite coal. Good coal. Hard coal. Not the soft coal, which is hard to polish. So in an emergency situation it can be combined with heat or a spark to make life saving fire. :D

BTW, that is the new hobby anvil, $20, 9 pounds, 4" high, horn is 3.5" long and anvil face is 5.5" x 2". It is painted and could use some minor file work to remove two small protuberances (remnants of tack welds) on the base so it won't scratch stuff. I probably won't put it into the glass show case. What do you think?

double post, I thought that I had fixed this by using IE directly instead of AOL...

Terrific stag Personal and signed by CJ and Chuck Buck. Shows itself off.

You have a stamp issue on the phenolic 118. Is that from SMKW?

So it looks like I need the new one because of the stamping on the blade and the Brass one...

Was there more...

I believe the owner(Kevin Pipes) of SMKW has a large interest in Blue Ridge. He was once and may still be one of the owners of Hallmark Cutlery. The one thing I don't like about SMKW is their shipping is outrageous unless they are offering flat rate shipping the more you buy the higher the shipping. Even for one fixed blade they charge by the price of the knife not weight.
