Buck 119/120 tang rivet pic???

I have two Elkadon tooth scales...I am planning on a 110 rescale with them...

Don't forget to post pics!!! I just cut slabs from a fossilized walrus cheek bone, for a 112, maybe pics next week.

Do you have pics of what that looks like? Is it as nice as the mammoth tooth?
Sounds neat anyway! I can hardly wait for the pics :D

I wholely agree!!! Pics!!! I think I like these old fossel bones/teeth/tusks!!!... :D

There's a really old graveyard near me...do you think...no, maybe not...

Hello Guys I am new here, I am from Italy and I am a proud owner of 2 Buck 119.
One is the Cocobolo handle version with brass pommel, the other is the traditional phenolic.
The one with brass pommel, shows the rivet when a little of oxide cover the brass you can easily see the round of the rivet, but if you pass a piece of paper with gunoil on it and remove the oxide the rivet disappear.

The one with alu pommel is still in the blister hung on my bedroom wall

That's to cool Trax,

Make sure you post a pic....or 2 when she's done. I realy like those teeth :D . But, now you need some more slabs for the 119:thumbup: .

...120...It's a 120... ;) Slabs like a 124, you mean??? I dunno...

I'll have to look around some more... :grumpy:

:foot: :foot: :foot: . Trax I have a fixed blade 192 that Buck used slabs of stag and put a wood insert at the top and bottom of the handle. When looking at the side veiw you don't even notice it's a slabed handle......food for thought.

That is pretty cool...

I'll have to see if I can't find a supplier like Scott has for Mammoth scales...either tusk or teeth...(or is it Jeff???)... :grumpy:

Thanks; I did see his number in that TKCA newsletter...but no web page or email address... :(

Jantz and Texas Knifemakers Supply both list Mammoth and/or Mastodon, but it's a "call for quote" kind of thing, and no way to see before purchase... :(

I get my antler from AKS http://www.alphaknifesupply.com/barkbone.htm ; they post a pic and dimensions of the actual piece so you can decide before buying...very cool...
